School Meals

Our kitchen is run by Hertfordshire Catering and offer well balanced nutritious meals.  Each day our cooks prepares a selection of hot and cold meals in the school kitchen. The cost of school dinners is as follows:

Main School £2.80 per day (£14 per week)

Nursery/Acorns £2.40 per day (£12 per week)

(The school uses an external catering company who make our school meals each day. They have informed us that there will be an increase to school dinners from the 1st April (last Friday of term). This
will not affect the children who have access to Universal Free school meals (Reception to Year 2) or Free school meal pupils. Acorns and Nursery lunch club will be contacted separately.

Year 3 upwards: £2.80
Staff: £3.70)

All School meals need to be booked and paid for in advance before 8:00am on the day of the lunch on the school gateway app.  You are responsible for removing your childs meal if they are going to be absent on the day of a booking by 8:00am, you will be charged for the meal otherwise.

Please make cheques payable to Hertfordshire Catering Ltd (HCC).

As of Monday 10th January 2022.If your lunch has not been booked and your child does not have a packed lunch with them, you will receive a text asking you to contact the office by 10:30am to book. If we do not receive this information, we will assume you are bringing in a named packed lunch to the office to arrive by 11:30am.

We appreciate that there are occasions where life gets in the way (and technology lets us down), and there is a genuine reason a lunch has not been booked. If this is the case, feel free to call the office as soon as possible, and we will support you to resolve any issues.

Parents who are in receipt of benefits or other allowances may be eligible for free meals, please contact www.hertsdirect.org or telephone 01438 737370.

If your child would prefer a packed lunch we ask that it is a well balanced meal without sweets or fizzy drinks.  Please do not send cans or glass bottles.  Lunch boxes must be clearly labelled with your child’s name.
